1. Data We Collect

Mqora collects the following data from merchants ("you") to provide our service:

• Receipt/Transaction Data: Product IDs, product names, categories, quantities, unit prices, and timestamps from your sales receipts. This data is used to analyze product relationships and generate arrangement recommendations.
• Account Information: Company name, email address, and API keys used to authenticate your account.
• Shopify Store Data: If you connect via Shopify, we access your order data, product catalog, and collection structure as authorized by the OAuth scopes you grant.

2. How We Use Your Data

• To analyze product co-occurrence patterns and generate arrangement recommendations
• To compute association rules, sales analytics, and actionable insights
• For premium-tier users: to aggregate anonymized patterns across merchants and provide cross-merchant industry benchmarks
• To improve our KNN model accuracy and recommendation quality over time

3. Data Retention

Your receipt data is stored for as long as your account is active. You may request deletion of your data at any time by contacting legal@mqora.com. Upon account termination, your data is permanently deleted within 30 days.

4. Data Sharing

We do not sell your data to third parties. For premium cross-merchant insights, only anonymized, aggregated patterns (e.g., "products X and Y are frequently bought together across the Mqora network") are shared — never your individual receipts, product names, or store identity.

5. Your Rights

• Access: You can view all your data through the Mqora dashboard or API
• Export: You can export your data at any time via CSV endpoints
• Deletion: You can request complete data deletion at any time
• Opt-out of premium aggregation: You can disable cross-merchant data sharing while keeping your individual analytics

6. Data Security

We use industry-standard security measures including encrypted API keys (HMAC-SHA256 for Shopify webhooks), hashed authentication tokens, and isolated per-tenant data storage. However, no method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure.
